About Us

Mike and Jean’s Berry Farm (dba Skagit Growers), is a family managed farm.  John and Amanda Jungquist acquired the original homestead on August 20th 1889.  They cleared the land and brought the land into production.  We are into our fifth generation of operation on this land.  Our immediate family has been involved for the last 30 years.  Mike, Jean, Chad, Tyann and Derrick have all played specific roles.  Our operation includes experience in agriculture mechanics, engineering, food science, technology, nutrition, marketing, accounting, and computer science.

Employment on the farm ranges from three during the slow periods to exceed 200 during the heart of the harvest season.  Today, we farm 600+ acres of premium quality strawberries, raspberries, cauliflower, cucumbers, peas, grains and spinach, beet and cabbage seeds.  Many of these crops are picked, packed and shipped, fresh or frozen from our farm to receiving points throughout the United States and Canada.
We pack and sell fresh berries during the season, and take orders for frozen pack year around.   We keep an inventory of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.

We pack and ship the finest quality fresh cauliflower during a season that spans mid-July through mid-October.
